Meet Dr. Elizabeth Collins

I have called Portland home for more than 35 years.

As a graduate of Reed College and the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (now the National University of Natural Medicine), I have devoted more than 25 years to caring for individuals and families. For the first 23 years of my practice, I was a physician and a home-birth midwife. Now, I give all of my attention to my general practice and don’t attend births any longer, but the experience stays with me. My many years of attending births gave me a deep love of helping families navigate all of the changes and challenges they encounter. Understanding that life means change and that change can be hard, I am dedicated to providing care to everyone at every stage of life.

I strive to really listen to you so I can help you find the right solution for you today. Often, getting started is the hardest part of getting better. I can offer ideas big and small to help you find the right direction for your health care. Later, when your needs shift or you are ready to take the next step, I can help you keep moving forward. I love helping you find solutions to your problems that will really work for you and helping you find a new direction when the last solution is no longer right for you.

To me, healthcare only works if we can work together. I want to hear all of your concerns and questions, and I will do my best to help you understand the why and how of your body. Bodies are strange and fascinating and no two are alike. I will work with you to provide the individualized care you need to support your better health.
